Young Sports Reporters Program Concludes in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, July 08, 2025: The Young Sports Reporters Training Program, jointly organized by the Asian Sports Press Association (AIPS ASIA) and the Hong Kong Sports Press Association (HKSPA), successfully concluded in Hong Kong.
A total of 18 young sports reporters from nine different countries, including Pakistan, Japan, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Uganda, China, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Macau, took part in this initiative.
Over the eight-day training program, the participants received comprehensive training on various aspects of sports journalism. The sessions featured panel discussions with renowned Hong Kong athletes and leading figures from the sports media industry.
One of the key contributors to the success of this program was Mr. Raymond, who is considered the pioneer of the Young Sports Reporters Training Program. Mr. Raymond and his team have trained countless young sports journalists over the years, many of whom are now working with prominent media outlets around the world. His dedication and vision have played a vital role in empowering the next generation of sports reporters.


As part of the program, the young reporters visited the Hong Kong Sports Institute, where they were given an in-depth briefing on Hong Kong’s sports structure. They also toured prominent sports venues in Hong Kong, including the Kai Tak Sports Park.
In the final phase of their training, the participants traveled to Macau, where they visited the Athletes Training and Development Centre to learn about its state-of-the-art facilities. They also toured the Grand Prix Museum.
During the training, the young reporters produced articles on diverse topics, which were published in their respective national newspapers. They also created digital stories based on their training experiences.
