AIPS ASIA launched the Legend of AIPS ASIA Awards last year at the Congress held in Seoul in 2023. The main reason behind the launch of these awards was to pay tribute to those personalities who have dedicated a lifetime in sports journalism and also been associated with AIPS ASIA. In this regard, three personalities were selected, including GAP-Chul Park, Yousuf Barjawi and Manochehr Zandi. GAP-Chul Park is from Korea and served as AIPS ASIA President, as did Youssef Barjawi from Lebanon who died in 2023 after a long time with AIPS ASIA. Manouchehr Zandi from Iran has also done outstanding services for AIPS Asia. These awards were appreciated across Asia. In the same event, Bangladesh Sports Press Association BSPA and Nepal Sports Journalists Forum NSJF were awarded the Best Sports Association of Asia. Awards were also given to AIPS ASIA Saudi Sports Media Federation SSMF for supporting AIPS ASIA and Korean Sports Press Union KSPU for organizing the Congress in Seoul.
