A signing ceremony at the Sha Tin Clubhouse was attended by officials from Guangdong and Hong Kong, including the Director-General of Guangdong’s Sports Bureau and representatives from the Central Government’s Liaison Office.

Club CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges emphasized the Club’s long-standing support for major sports events, including the Olympics and Asian Games, and its commitment to developing equestrian sport at the national level, especially within the Greater Bay Area.

The Club will provide technical support across six areas—venue design, horse welfare, anti-doping, stable management, event support, and publicity—deploying an expert team and equipment to ensure high standards. The initiative is backed by RMB 50 million.

This year’s Games will be a historic milestone, co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and will feature various competitions, including equestrian events in Shenzhen’s Guangming District.

Additionally, the Club signed a cooperation agreement with Guangdong’s Huangcun Sports Training Centre to support its equestrian facilities and talent development efforts, aiming to elevate standards and cultivate top riders for international competition.
