Spotlight on the 35th AFC Congress 2025

AIPS ASIA News:

The stage is set for the 35th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress, which will return to the home of Asian football in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, April 12, 2025.



To be held at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, the 35
th AFC Congress will vote on the Audited Financial Statements and Auditors’ Report for the year 2024, which saw the AFC deliver a historic 16 competitions, including the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™, and usher a new dawn with the commencement of its revamped club competitions.

Similarly, the AFC’s members will also vote on the Confederation’s budgets for 2025 and 2026, which aim to bring to life some of the most transformative reforms ever to be introduced in the history of Asian football.

As with previous Congresses, the breakthrough education, development, technical and refereeing programmes will also be shared in greater detail, with the AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa also poised to touch on the recent successes of the Confederation and the efforts being undertaken to enhance the standards of the beautiful game throughout the Continent.
