With the decider being played at Wuhan Sports Centre Stadium, Traore believes that the presence of their fans will bring out the best in Wuhan Jiangda.
”Winning in front of the home fans is truly incredible, the support and excitement you feel when you see the crowd going wild after a win is truly a unique and deeply touching moment,” said Traore.
“We have prepared well for this match, it will not be easy but we are ready, focused and determined to win.”
The 22-year-old joined the Chinese Women Super League side in 2024, helping them retain the title and has been instrumental in their continental run, with her two assists and a goal against Malaysia’s Sabah FA in a 7-0 win in their Group A tie helping Wuhan Jiangda book a place in the quarter-finals.
The diminutive Mali international played the entire 120 minutes of the last eight tie against Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies before featuring for the first 65 minutes of the semi-final success against Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC of Vietnam on Wednesday.

Anticipating a tough encounter against Melbourne City, Traore knows that Wuhan Jiangda will have to raise their game if they are to repay the fans for their endless support.
“The group stage was very difficult for us but we worked hard to be here. There is a very big difference between playing in the AWCL and the Super League.
“The AWCL is a competition that brings together the best clubs in Asia and the level of the competition is very high.”
