Jeonbuk State IAD Donates “Innovative Administration Award” Prize to Support Para Sports Development
Jeonbuk State, July 09, 2026: The International Affairs Division of Jeonbuk State has turned its recent administrative achievement into a meaningful act of giving by donating the entire prize money from the Innovative Administration Award to support the development of para sports in Jeonbuk State. The Jeonbuk State Para Sports Association, chaired by Won-taeg Lee, announced on Wednesday that the International Affairs Division donated the full KRW 1 million (Approx. USD700) prize awarded for receiving the Excellence Award in the State’s Innovative Administration Award program. The International Affairs Division was recently recognized for successfully operating the Jeonbuk Joint Pavilion at SPOEX 2026 (Seoul International Sports & Leisure Industry Show), one of Asia’s top three international sports exhibitions. The pavilion was jointly organized with three Jeonbuk-based sports start-ups—NINOS, Dosi Nongchon, and Core Solution—to promote the province’s sports industry and help local companies expand their business opportunities and market presence. The close collaboration between the provincial government and local sports enterprises was highly commended, leading to the division’s selection as an Excellence Award recipient. Choi Jung-Suk, Director of the International Affairs Division, said: “Receiving the Innovative Administration Award inspired us to share the success we achieved together with Jeonbuk’s sports companies in a more meaningful way. We hope this donation will contribute, even in a small way, to the development of para sports in our State and to improving the training environment and support available for athletes.”
A representative of the Jeonbuk State Para Sports Association expressed appreciation, “We sincerely thank the staff of the International Affairs Division and the local sports companies that worked alongside them for generously donating the entire award prize to support para sports. We will ensure that this heartfelt contribution is used responsibly so that athletes with disabilities in Jeonbuk can train in a better environment and fully demonstrate their potential.” More than a simple charitable donation, this initiative represents a meaningful effort to share the outcomes of innovative public administration with the local community. It also serves as an exemplary case of how collaboration between a public institution and local sports start-ups can create lasting public value while making a tangible contribution to the advancement of para sports in Jeonbuk State.
