Squash Legend Jahangir Khan Lauds Journalists at SJAS Workshop

Karachi, Pakistan.June 15, 2025: The Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) organized a squash reporting workshop in collaboration with the JK Sports Club. The event was well-attended by SJAS members, senior journalists, and Pakistan Sports Writers Federation Secretary General Asghar Azeem.
World Squash Legend Jahangir Khan, who has a lifelong relationship with sports journalists, expressed his delight at seeing young journalists’ dedication to learning about squash. “Sports journalists and I have been together since the beginning,” he said. “Their role in my success is unforgettable.”
SJAS President Mahmood Riaz stated that the workshop aimed to provide training to young journalists on squash rules and reporting. Squash coach Naveed Alam delivered a lecture on the game’s rules, including scoring points.

SJAS Secretary Shahid Usman Saati emphasized the importance of knowing the game’s rules for quality reporting. “The basis of quality reporting is awareness of the rules of the game,” he said.
The workshop concluded with Jahangir Khan and Asghar Azeem congratulating SJAS President Mahmood Riaz and Secretary Shahid Saati. Certificates were distributed among participants, and Jahangir Khan was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a commemorative shield adorned with Ajrak and a Sindhi cap, symbolizing Sindh’s culture.
