Stage set for 36th AFC Congress 2026

Peshawar, April 25, 2026: The spotlight will turn towards Vancouver on April 28 (Tuesday) when the 36th AFC Congress 2026 takes place in the coastal Canadian city. To be staged at the Vancouver Convention Centre, the 36th AFC Congress will vote on the Audited Financial Statements and Auditors’ Report for the year 2025, during which the AFC successfully delivered 16 competitions, including the groundbreaking revamped club competitions.

At the same time, the AFC’s members—gathered both in-person and online —will vote on the Confederation’s budgets for 2027 and 2028, which represent a purposeful shift toward high-impact investment designed to bring to bear the AFC’s bold ambitions under its Vision and Mission. Those in attendance will also receive a comprehensive overview of the AFC’s landmark educational, developmental, technical and refereeing programmes, as the AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa highlights the remarkable resilience of the Confederation’s Member Associations through a challenging year that nevertheless witnessed milestone achievements.
