U17WAC – Hopefuls learn Road to China 2026 pathways
The sides were divided into eight groups – three of four teams each and five of three — to contest a single round-robin centralised league format from October 13 to 17, 2025.
The eight group winners will progress to the 10th edition of the Finals, where they will be joined by the four AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025 who have automatically qualified, namely DPR Korea, Japan, Korea Republic and China PR, to form a 12-strong line-up — four more than the previous edition.
Group A will see Philippines, Malaysia, hosts Tajikistan and Syria doing battle while Group B will be contested by Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia who will host the group.
The Group C challenge will involve Indonesia, hosts Myanmar, Mongolia and debutants Macau while Vietnam will host Group D with Hong Kong, China and Guam their opponents.
Australia headline Group E, with Singapore (hosts) and Northern Mariana Islands standing in their way while hosts Thailand, Nepal and Turkmenistan will vie for the automatic spot from Group F
Group G will see India, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyz Republic (hosts) going head to head while Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei and Jordan (hosts) will slug it out in Group H to finish top.
The Finals will be contested from April 30 to May 17, 2026.
